Conjunctivitis Outbreak: Cases surge in India, 5 ways to protect yourself

The country is witnessing a surge in cases of eye infection or acute conjunctivitis. The All India Institute of Medical Sciences on Saturday reported approximately 100 cases per day, doctors at the premier hospital said. Here are five ways to protect yourself from this infection: (Freepik)

Practice good hygiene: Wash your hands frequently with soap and water. Avoid touching your eyes with unwashed hands. Avoid sharing personal items like towels, eye makeup, contact lenses, and contact lens cases with others.
