Full bloom: While many of us reserve all our floral love for the day, these ladies give us a glamorous lesson in fashion, in full bloom. We love how starkly the colours scream spring against the white of the dresses. American actor Elisabeth Moss (L) won style accolades in her Oscar de la Renta gown, while Vanessa Hudgens (R) looked pretty in her full-skirted red carpet number by Mumbai-born designer Naeem Khan.

The glam sixties: These Hollywood ladies can give any 20-something a run for their money when it comes to dressing up a class apart. While Helen Mirren (L), 69, shone in the kimono-sleeved Badgley Mischka number, Judith Light (R), 66, also took the all-ivory path in a jumpsuit adorned with a lacy bodice.

Sheer contrast: While mesh details, sheer tease and laser-sleek cut outs can spill sexy on the red carpet, here's an example of hitting the right balance. While Ivanka Trump (L) aced the trend in her Prabal Gurung printed gown with mesh cover-ups on the side of the waist, singer Kiesza (C) and actor Taylor Schilling (R) in Michael Kors didn't make the most of all the flirtatious sheer on their dresses, sadly treading close to the boundary of banal and bizarre.
