Sometimes in life, we hold onto anger for a longer stretch of time than required. Even after we have mellowed down, we do not seek out for the lost connection and try to mend ways with the person we were angry with. But why do we do it? Therapist Sara Kuburic explained a few reasons as to why we choose to stay angry with someone.(Unsplash)

Sometimes we choose to be angry because the alternate for that emotion is sadness, and we are not ready to address it. So, we hold onto anger. (Unsplash)

We may have been at fault as well, but we are not ready to take responsibility for our own actions. Hence, we choose anger over other emotions. (Unsplash)
