PHOTOS: Masked tourists visit Antoni Gaudi’s La Pedrera amid Covid surge

Outbreaks have been seen recently in the Spanish regions of Aragon and Catalonia where officials have reintroduced curbs on daily life and urged Barcelona residents to only leave home for essential trips. In an effort to contain the epidemic, all discos will be shut for the next 15 days, the Catalan government said on Friday, and bars, restaurants and casinos must shut by midnight. Tourists and visitors were however still spotted at Barcelona's La Pedrera, one of the many iconic pieces of architecture created by Antoni Gaudi. La Pedrera is the popular name for Casa Milà, which translates to "The stone quarry", a name given to the structure on accoutn of its rough, unconcentional appearance. The building was the last private residence designed by Gaudi, and was built between 1906 and 1912.
