Madhukar Kotwal, former member, board of directors, Larsen & Toubro (L&T), said that there is a huge gap in terms of sustainable development. “It is important for us to focus on the digitalisation of the internal and the external processes and at the same time focusing on need-based projects and inter-NGO (non-governmental organisation) collaboration,” he said.

Speaking about the way ahead, Kelkar said, “Earlier, the funds were drawn only from respective governments. However, the active involvement of private sector has expanded the scope and horizons of NGO funding.”

The programme organised by Pune International Centre at Navalmal Firodia Hall, Senapati Bapat road was chaired by Pradeep Bhargava, president, Mahratta Chamber of Commerce, Industries and Agriculture (MCCIA).
