ICAI intermediate results declared with 26.72 pass percentage

In a statement released on January 29, ICAI said that the examination had been conducted in 419 centres across the country, with over 2,000 students writing the test. Of this, 26.72 per cent students passed both groups of examination.

The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI), declared the results for Intermediate Professional Competency (IPC) examination on Monday, with 26.72 per cent students passing it. The examination was held in November 2017.

In a statement released on January 29, ICAI said that the examination had been conducted in 419 centres across the country, with over 2,000 students writing the test. Of this, 26.72 per cent students passed both groups of examination. As per ICAI, the pass rate had 13.92 per cent in the first group , while 20.38 per cent passed from the second group who gave the examination.

According to the release, from Maharashtra, Simran Kessar from Navi Mumbai secured the third position nationally. She secured 521 marks out of 700, thus earning a percentage of 74.43. However, Jay Dharmendrabhai Sheth from Ahmedabad with 530 out of 700 marks (75.71%) secured the first rank, while Susarala Aravind Jayaram from Kolkata with 526 out of 700 (75.14%) came second.

All results have been uploaded online and candidates can check their results on caiexam.icai.org and icai.nic.in.
