Pune’ French language students show their ‘country’ spirit

These students belong to Alliance Francaise de Pune and each one of them are learning French for the love of the country and to pursue further studies in France.

The library of Alliance Francaise was abuzz with excitement as the students hovered around their teacher who was ready with the three colours of the French flag for face painting. Some were even seen sporting tri-coloured earrings to match their French flag, while others were seen with a cute French hair clips.

With the battle cry ‘Allez les Bleus’ they all stepped out of their classes to show their excitement for the country that most of the students will be a part of soon. These students belong to Alliance Francaise de Pune and each one of them are learning French for the love of the country and to pursue further studies in France.

Abhishek Adak, 24, a French student, said, “The team has immense talent and they give an opportunity to everyone.” While Arunav Apte, 18, also a student, said, “France is one of the five favourite teams world over. Why wouldn’t one love them, they are young and eager to learn.”

Kunal Ganorkar, 23, has been playing football professionally and hopes to join the celebrations of France winning the match in Paris in August when he travels there to begin classes in management this year.

Sudnya Athale, teacher with Alliance Francaise and football fan, said, “The team is full of surprises and the players all represent the Francophone countries and showcase a solid bonding.”
