Two senior citizens booked for molesting 59-year-old woman in Pune

According to the police, the victim had come to meet an acquaintance in the area when she was accosted by the duo

The Sangvi police have booked two senior citizens, both 55 year-olds, for allegedly assaulting and molesting a 59-year-old woman at the Sangvi PWD grounds on Wednesday.

No arrests have been made in the case so far. (HT/PHOTO)

The accused were known to the victim and have been identified as Robin Kumar Ashok Kumar Jain (55) and Rajesh Sharma (55).

According to the police, the victim had come to meet an acquaintance in the area when she was accosted by the duo.

One of them misbehaved with her to which she retorted while the other continued misbehaving with her and abused her. One of them even assaulted her physically. The duo fled from the scene of the crime after which the woman mustered up the courage and lodged a first information report (FIR) against the accused.

No arrests have been made in the case so far.
