U-16 inter-club cricket: Phadke’s 67 helps PYC to secure 99 run win over CNA Reds
Cricket Next Academy Red could not manage a big partnership, resulted in the entire team collapse on the score of 74 runs for 9 wickets in 16.4 overs.
PYC team defeated Cricket Next Academy (CNA) Red by 99 runs in the first league match of the Captain Shivrampant Vishnu Damle trophy under-16 inter-club cricket tournament which started at the Katariya high school ground, Mukundnagar on Friday.
PYC won the toss and elected to bat first. The openers show dominated the game where Mihir Deshmukh scored 45 runs of 45 balls and Rohan Phadke scored 67 runs from 53 balls.
Anish Jagtap who came to play one-down helped his team with a quick knock of 28 runs in 19 balls, helped PYC to put a decent total of 173 runs in the allotted 20 overs for the loss of 2 wickets.
Coming to bat, CNA Red openers, Hariom Singh could not score any run and he was caught on the short cover while attempting to drive the ball in the first over. Omkar Holkar also only managed to add 8 runs before he was dismissed.

Vineet Bogati was the highest scorer for CNA with 15 runs from 16 balls.
Akshat Jain of PYC returned with figures of 3-14 in three overs, while Koosh Patil and Purab Upadhyay grabbed two wickets each.
“The players did not focused on singles and doubles. The team needs more practice for the upcoming matches and to remain in the tournament,” said Sourabh Mishra coach of CNA Red.
In the first match of the day, Fun Fitness scored a six-wicket win over Gaikwad XI.
