Laying emphasis on a sensitive, accountable and corruption-free administration, Haryana chief minister Manohar Lal Khattar on Tuesday said the first BJP government in the state was keen to bring a systemic change to improve the state of affairs.
Khattar, who was addressing a press conference organised to mark the completion of 100 days in office, said information technology was being used in a big way by the government to bring transparency and efficiency in the administration. E-registration of properties, online allocation of liquor vends, e-filing of VAT returns and launch of e-tendering were steps in this direction, he said.
The chief minister said the new dispensation would put a complete end to nepotism, casteism and regionalism in government recruitments and merit would be sole criteria. Asked whether the BJP government would initiate a probe into the DLF-Vadra land deal, Khattar said the government was committed to bring wrongdoers to the book. “But that’s not our only priority area. As far as such complaints are concerned, we are getting ourselves prepared. We will not spare anyone who has caused loss to the state exchequer,’’ he said.
While unveiling the brochure on the BJP government’s achievements, the CM read out the achievements one by one. He was candid enough to admit that many of the accomplished projects or schemes mentioned in the pamphlet were a carry forward of the previous regime. He said for industries single window system would soon be started to enable approvals under one roof. Online registration facilities for micro, small and medium enterprises had also been launched.
