125 students showcase talent in contest

Indian Society for Technical Education (ISTE) Students’ Chapter of Guru Nanak Institute of Management and Technology (GNIMT), Gujarkhan Campus, Model Town, Ludhiana arranged an inter-school competition on Thursday.

Indian Society for Technical Education (ISTE) Students’ Chapter of Guru Nanak Institute of Management and Technology (GNIMT), Gujarkhan Campus, Model Town, Ludhiana arranged an inter-school competition on Thursday.

Students from 15 city schools participated in the event which included declamation contest, extempore, debate, poster making, cyber fiesta, cyber smart, logical reasoning and collage making.

The overall trophy was bagged by Guru Nanak International Public School (GNIPS), Model Town.

Gursimran Kaur of GNIPS won the declamation contest, while Kartik Mehindru of BCM School, Basant City came second.In debate, Kartik Mehindru and Harmanjit Kaur of BCM School, Basant City, stood first and Kirti and Tanvi S Jain of Sat Paul Mittal School bagged the second position.

Anupret Kaur of BCM Public School Dugri, and Disha of Sat Paul Mittal School, bagged top two spots in extempore.

Cyber Fiesta’s winners were Mridul and Sachin of DAV Public School, followed by Shivam and Vinayak of BCM Arya Model School, Shastri Nagar, in second spot. In another competition, Cyber Smart, first spot was clinched by Sagardeep and Jasmeet of GNIPS, Model Town, even as Karan and Gurkirat of BCM Arya Model School, Shastri Nagar, came second. Poster making saw Saruti Chaudhary of BVM School, Kitchlu Nagar, shine at first spot with Mansi of GNIPS, BRS Nagar, coming second.

Akshit Jain and Srishti Arora of BVM, Kitchlu Nagar, came first, while Armaan and Simranjot of GNIPS, Model Town, were second.Logical reasoning was won by Sanpreet Singh and Sanket of BCM Arya Model School, Shastri Nagar, and Akarshit Uppal and Mridul Bhaskar of BVM, Kitchlu Nagar, stood second.

GNIMT director HS Singha congratulated the students and schools who won prizes and them for participating in the competition.
