Talking to Hindustan times, Sangrur SSP Mandeep Singh Sidhu said that on the complaint of Tara Singh of Herike last month, the CJM had ordered to register an FIR against two DSPs- Balwinder Singh and Tejinder Singh- in a 2011 case for fabricating evidence.

About their removal as DSPs, the SSP said: "We will write to the senior authorities like the DIG and the ADGP for further action."

When contacted, Tara Singh's counsel Yogesh Gupta said:"The Sangrur (city) SHO did not register the FIR against the officers even a fortnight after the orders of the CJM. Then we filed a complaint of contempt of court orders in the Punjab and Haryana High Court, following which the SHO has registered the FIR on Monday."

Tara Singh had filed a complaint in the district court demanding the registration of FIR against then DSP, vigilance, Balwinder Singh, and then Sherpur police station in-charge Tejinder Singh (now posted as DSP, Lehra) for implicating him in a false case.

When contacted, Tejinder Singh refused to comment saying that he is busy at a meeting.
