It should be mentioned that the police recovered the dead body of former sarpanch of Kishangarh Gurthli on January 29. He died under mysterious circumstances as the police recovered three bullet marks on his body.

The police earlier claimed it a suicide, but later registered a case of murder against unidentified persons on Friday.
In another case, Rajpura police on Friday recovered the bloated and decomposed bodies of an elderly couple identified as Khemchand (70) and his wife Kamlesh Rani (65), residents of Banwari.

The police then claimed that the deceased were murdered around five days ago, since they found the bodies on the bed strangulated to death with a piece of cloth. The accused had even gagged them so that they couldn't scream.

Sources revealed that over 40 persons have been investigated to crack the case, besides the statements of neighbors being recorded.

As the cupboards in both the rooms seemed to have been rummaged, police isn't ruling out a robbery angle.

Senior superintendent of police Gurmeet Singh Chauhan didn't take the calls, but superintendent of police Jaskiranji Singh Teja said the police is already carrying minute investigation in both these cases.

"We have been questioning several suspected persons and are hopeful to get breakthrough in the cases. We have got some vital leads, on which the police is working to crack this double murder case," Teja said.
