5 held for duping arhtiya of Rs 10 lakh

However, the Sadar police have now got to the bottom of the matter and the five people who duped the commission agent have been ar rested. The agent himself has been booked for misleading the public.

The Sadar police had registered a case of duping against the accused in this context on Friday and also booked the commission agent Sunil Kumar for giving wrong information to the police.

THE CASE

On November 20, Sunil Kumar, a commission agent, informed the police that some miscreants had looted ` 10 lakh cash from him at the Dhandra Road. The Sadar police registered a case of loot against three people and started investigation.

Now, the police have found that the loot report was concocted.

The accused have been identified as Kuldeep Singh of Rania village, Gurwinder Singh of Giddarwaha village, Rajbir of Mohi village, Balbir Singh of Dhandhran village and Siopal Singh. The ADCP added that it was being verified that whether the accused has criminal history.
