"Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) is the creation of media. The media highlighted it as it was coming up with something new to say and it is our duty to report something different," said Prabhu Chawla, a veteran journalist, who was here at CT Group of Institutions in connection with a programme 'Shaping young minds' organised by the All India Management Association (AIMA) and the Jalandhar Management Association.
He added, "It is a social movement changing into a party. The existing political parties have changed into family parties. They don't allow anyone to enter. Arvind Kejriwal wanted to have a change in the society by joining politics, so he decided to make his own party. His high visibility in the media made him win."
Interacting with students, Chawla shared his struggling life and how he came to be a journalist accidentally.
