Mann was in Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) bastion along with Punjab state in-charge of AAP Sanjay Singh and state convener Sucha Singh Chhotepur as a part of the party’s Lok Chetna March.

Targeting Gurdaspur MP Vinod Khanna and former Congress MP Partap Singh Bajwa, Mann said that locals can get hardly any benefit from these two. “Our MPs and even the chief minister are an ordinary men and are accessible while their MLA and district presidents cannot be seen easily when they are needed,” Mann said. The rally, which started from Amritsar reached here late on Friday evening, majorily comprised of youth.

Mann who used satire and similes against the ruling party and its leader to cheer the crowd claimed that the state had been ruined by the Badal family and BJP was a partner in this sin.

Mann said that if AAP comes to power in 2017 they will give free sand, which now costs more than wheat. Sanjay Singh in his address said that AAP would contest the 2017 elections with full might to relieve the people from the anarchy of the Badal family.
