Talking to mediapersons on the sidelines of foundation day function at Punjab Technical University, Gujral said, "People are, in fact, fed up with corruption and arrogance of leaders. They basically are looking for a change. AAP has converted this sentiment of the people into votes. People are now showing their anger as they feel let down. Youngsters have given up a wake-up call for all the parties."

Recalling that even in the past, some leaders had taken path-breaking initiatives, he said, "In 1989, late Vishwanath Pratap Singh, former prime minister, was in the same game as Kejriwal. But, he had to seek the support of several other parties, mainly the Left, as one needed a sort of alliance to convert the support into votes, only then one can make a mark at the national level. But, Kejriwal wants it to fight all alone and very little time is left with them to consolidate themselves at the national level."

He said, "The youth community will play a major role in Lok Sabha elections. There is a need for the parties to filed fresh faces with clean image. The parties have to shun politics of money, muscle and paid media. Even the parties have realised the fact that days of politics of money and power are over."
