Visitors to the fest entered through different gates of PAU as they were confused due to lack of signage guiding them towards the activity venues. At least 4,000 participants from across the country have converged on the varsity campus to take part in different activities. Food stalls of different states have also come up on the campus. Venues at PAU include Pal auditorium, Jacob hall, wheat auditorium, examination hall, open air theater and football ground. Among others Guru Nanak Dev Bhawan of PAU is another venue where participants are performing.

Abhinav Sharma, a resident of Gurden Nagar, who is a businessman by profession, said he had come to the festival to see different activities. "I wanted to taste food items of different states but was not able to find the venue. Later, someone told me that food stalls were installed at the football ground," said Sharma.

The 18th National Youth Festival is being organised by the ministry of youth affairs and sports in collaboration with government of Punjab. The fest started on January 12 and is going to end on January 16.
