Taking note of the statements made by Kuldip Nayar in his recent book "Beyond the Lines: An autobiography" against former president of All India Sikh Students Federation (AISSF), Amrik Singh and Jarnail Singh Bhindranwale, AISSF today announced that it would start a "Book Burning" campaign on July 17 in front of Nayar's residence in Delhi.

While talking to reporters here, AISSF president Karnail Singh Peermohammad demanded that "Lotus Roli", the publisher of Nayar's book, immediately stop the sale of the controversial book until the chapter "Punjab in Flames" was removed. If the publisher failed to remove the spiteful chapter against AISSF and Sant Bhindranwale, the federation would pursue legal action, he warned.

Nayar who has been appearing on panthic stages to gain legitimacy in the Sikh community has finally revealed his true colors by calling federation president Amrik Singh an IB agent and Jarnail Singh Bhindranwale a "creation of Congress", said Peermohammad.

Nayar's false statements regarding Amrik Singh and Bhindanwale, is a clear attempt to malign the reputation of the federation and Sikh leaders who enjoy iconic status in the Sikh community, Peermohammad added.
