The first day of the session plunged into the din within minutes of its opening with several of the INLD MLAs raking up the issue after the obituaries of martyrs and other people were read out.

INLD's Kalayat MLA Rampal Majra raised the issue, seeking action against Congress' Bawani Khera MLA Ram Kishan Fouji, who was seen in the video clip allegedly asking for Rs 5 crore for getting a person CLU of land. Majra was backed by other MLAs, including Ashok Arora, Mohammad Ilyas, Krishan Lal Panwar and others.

Though opposition MLAs raised slogans such as "Ghotalon ki sarkar, murdabad" (Down with the government of scams), "CLU ki sarkar, murdabad" (Down with the government of CLU), Fouji was unperturbed as he shouted on them in retaliation.

At this point, speaker Kuldeep Sharma adjourned the House for 10 minutes. The House resumed to another bout of pandemonium leading to another adjournment for the same duration.

When the House resumed for the third time only to witness the din, the speaker warned INLD MLAs and, finally, suspended them for the remaining two days of the session. The suspension came subsequent to a motion in this context moved by parliamentary affairs minister Randeep Singh Surjewala.

Prior to the session, INLD MLA Abhay Chautala and state president Arora held a press conference outside the assembly precincts and released the CD, in which Fouji allegedly sought Rs 5 crore for getting the CLU done.

In the assembly, BJP legislative party leader in House Anil Vij raised the issue again, insisting for government's reply on the video clip.

Ambala Cantt MLA Vij was warned repeatedly and finally suspended for the remaining session. The other three party MLAs -Kavita Jain, Krishan Pal Gurjar and Ghanshyam Saraf - and ally Haryana Janhit Congress' lone MLA Renuka Bishnoi walked out with Vij.
