Amid ongoing Punjab - Punjab diplomacy, a Pakistani goods train yet again brought a consignment of drugs and ammunition into India.

Amid ongoing Punjab - Punjab diplomacy, a Pakistani goods train yet again brought a consignment of drugs and ammunition into India.

The Indian customs department seized 20 kg heroin worth Rs One crore, one china made pistol, two magazines, 22 live cartridges and one Pak SIM card from Pakistani goods train that reached Attari Border.

The train that reached the Attari Railway station at about 4 -30 pm was thoroughly checked and the consignment was recovered at about 8 pm.

Detailing the entire matter to reporters, Deputy Commissioner Customs Gurdev Singh and Superintendent S Kaler said, "The train that came from Pakistan had 12 bogeys. As per routine all the bogeys were checked and under one wagon a cavity was found. When the search was done, 20 packets of heroin, pistol, magazines and ammunition was found. A Pakistani SIM card was also found from the cavity".

A customs official informed that there was mark of camel on one place.

Recently, Indian custom department seized about 22 kg heroin from the goods wagon attached to the Samjhauta Express that shuttles between India and Pakistan.
