Haphazardly parked vehicles act as obstructions to traffic flow. These areas turn into high-honking zones, especially during the evening.

Though district authorities have time and again made tall claims that the encroachments will be removed, yet nothing has been done over the years.
Authorities had even claimed to have plans to set to a rehri market for vendors, yet there has been no concrete proposal as yet.

When contacted, Patiala mayor Amarinder Bajaj preferred to evade responsibility and passed the buck on the Public Works Department.

"These flyovers do not fall under the jurisdiction of the civic body. As far as the rehri market proposal is concerned that purely depends upon the government. If they provide us the required funds, we will do the needful."
