The accused, travelling in a Bolero, was asked to pay toll before being allowed to proceed, but he opened fire at the employee and left him injured, Karnal superintendent of police Pankaj Nain said.

“A case has been registered in connection with the incident. The injured worker has been hospitalised. We are hopeful of making an early arrest in the case,” he said.
