Punjab AAP convener Sucha Singh Chhotepur and comedian and actor-turned politician Gurpreet Singh Ghuggi addressed the rally.

Sucha Singh Chhotepur accused the then and present Punjab chief minister Parkash Singh Badal of letting SYL canal dug up for personal gains, including getting cheaper lands in Haryana. Chottepur said the then Prime Minister Indira Gandhi wanted to promote the interests of Haryana at the cost of Punjab waters.

Chhotepur alleged that the Akalis and the Congress were hand in glove with each other in exploiting the people of Punjab, but now AAP had offered a third choice to the people of Punjab to check the alleged friendly match being played between the Akalis and the Congress since the formation of the new Punjab in 1966.

He said both Akalis and Congress leaders talked of putting each other behind bars, but did nothing to materialise their claims for they were one and the same behind the screen.

Ghuggi said it was corruption among the ruling alliance leaders that had increased the rate of sand more than 10 times making it difficult for a common man to build a new house.
