Bathinda: 2 cops dismissed over Congman’s nude video

Two Punjab Police cops who were booked and suspended for allegedly forcing a Congress worker strip and shooting his nude video at Phul police station in November 2015 have been dismissed.

Two Punjab Police cops who were booked and suspended for allegedly forcing a Congress worker strip and shooting his nude video at Phul police station in November 2015 have been dismissed.

Head constables Ram Singh and Harinder Singh were suspended for making the video of stripped Congress worker Dharam Singh of Bhai Rupa village when he along with three others was arrested by Phul police before they were to protest against rural development minister Sikander Singh Maluka at Bhai Rupa village on November 17, 2015. They were protesting against sacrilege incidents and taking over of a disputed land by Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC).

Besides these two cops, station house officer of the Phul police station, Jai Singh, who was not present in his office where the video was shot, has also been suspended. The video went viral on the social media. Dharam Singh has demanded a case against some Akali leaders too.
