Bathinda: Brother duo get 10 year term for drug trafficking

A local court on Tuesday sentenced to 10-year imprisonment a brother duo for supplying drugs. The court of additional sessions judge Avtar Singh sentenced to 10-year imprisonment Bint Rai and Jagdish Rai, residents of Jodhpur Pakhar village, and imposed a fine of Rs one lakh on each of them.

Both were held with a huge quantity of banned drugs by the Maur police on July 25, 2011 near Jodhpur Pakhar village while they were travelling on a motorcycle. A case under the NDPS Act was registered against both at Maur police station.
