Bathinda: Five booked for cheating partner in liquor business

The police have booked four people for allegedly cheating a man and getting a false case under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act registered against him.

The police have booked four people for allegedly cheating a man and getting a false case under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act registered against him.

On a complaint by Subhash Chander, a resident of Thehri village under Muktsar district, the police have booked Vicky Oberai from Gidderbaha in Muktsar district, Gurdarshan Singh and Kamaldeep Singh from Muktsar, Bhupinder Singh from Ferozepur and Gagandeep Singh under Section 420 of the IPC.

The complainant alleged that he was having a business of liquor vends in association with the accused, who cheated him in the trade, and also got registered a false case against him under the NDPS Act.

None of the accused has yet been arrested and the economic offences wing of the district police was conducting further inquiry into it.
