Bathinda: man, son get life term in murder case

The court of sessions judge Tejwinder Singh sentenced to life imprisonment Simarjeet Singh and his son Jaspreet Singh from Bambiha village to life imprisonment and imposed a fine of Rs 10,000 on each of them. If they fail to pay the fine, they will have to undergo six-month additional imprisonment. The court acquitted Gurmit Singh and Jaspal Singh in this case.

Nirmal Singh, a resident of the same village, had alleged that the accused had attacked him and his cousin Shamninder Singh on July 31, 2012, while they were walking down the road. He had suffered injuries but saved himself by escaping from the place, but Shamniner died in the hospital. A case of murder was registered against four people at Nandgarh police station under section 302 of IPC.
