BCom, BSc admissions at Govt College for Girls go online

To bring transparency in the admission process, Government College for Girls has decided to start online admissions for two courses. These two courses are: BCom and BSc (medical as well as non-medical).

To bring transparency in the admission process, Government College for Girls has decided to start online admissions for two courses. These two courses are: BCom and BSc (medical as well as non-medical).

This is the first time Government College is going for online-process. Talking to Hindustan Times, college principal Gurminder Kaur said, “This is for the first time we are starting with the online process for two courses. The idea is to make the process faster, and students will get all information online from our website. The merit list will also be updated online. If this process succeeds, we will start online admission process for all courses from the next year.”

We have 140 seats in BCom, 120 in BSc medical and 160 in BSc non-medical. The will prospectus will be available at the college from June 9 for 40.

The online admission process will also start from June 9.

However, on the other hand, SCD Government College has no plans to initiate online admission for any of their courses.

Manjit Kaur Ghuman, principal of Guru Nanak Khalsa College for Women, Gujarkhan Campus, Model Town, Ludhiana said, “We have started the selling the prospectus at the cost of 200. Till today 236 prospectus had been sold out and queries for BCom course are maximum.”
