Addressing the party workers at Dabwali Road, Chautala said, "We have given six months to the ruling party to fulfil its promises. If the government fails to do so, the INLD will take the fight for the rights of the people to the streets and start an agitation against the state government".

Chautala said that the biggest irony is that the state farmers are reeling under the vagaries of weather these days, but the state government has failed to take any measures to help them in this hour of crisis.

He said that the INLD had raised the issue of compensation to the affected farmers in the budget session of the Vidhan Sabha and warned the government not to make fool of farmers in the name of compensation, by giving cheques for `1 or `2 as it happened during the Congress regime.

INLD state president Ashok Arora and former Vishan Sabha speaker Gopi Chand Gehlot were among the other INLD leaders present on the occasion.
