Lambasting Punjab Congress chief Captain Amarinder Singh on Enforcement Directorate’s (ED) summons to his son Raninder Singh in connection with a Foreign Exchange Management Act (FEMA) violation case, former state BJP president Kamal Sharma termed him “habitual escapist”.

In a statement issued here on Monday, he said: “Amarinder always tries to run away from the situation saying the probe agencies were working under political pressure.”

Pointing out that Raninder had been evading the court on “foreign accounts”, Sharma said if Amarinder and his family were clean, Raninder should appear before the ED as well as the court of law.
