The AAP volunteer, Manpreet Singh, 24, of Jassian Road has been admitted to Lord Mahavira Civil Hospital.

However, no case has been registered yet as police say they want to investigate the matter first.

Singh has alleged the police and BJP workers were hand in glove, adding that the civil hospital doctors had not even conducted his X-ray even after 12 hours of the incident.

He said he and his family members were AAP supporters. “I used to campaign in the area for the party and therefore, Karan Sharma of BJP and his aides possessed grudge against me,” Singh said.

He alleged that he was standing outside his house on late Sunday night. Meanwhile, Karan Sharma and others appeared there and opened attack on him.

“Thereafter, I filed a complaint with Division Number 4 police, but to no avail. On the other hand, Sharma and his aides also got admitted to the hospital by fabricating injuries,” Singh alleged.

Meanwhile, AAP leaders visited the hospital and condemned the incident.
