Body found on GT road in Gurdaspur

Body of an unidentified man, aged around 40 years, was found lying in front of the Institute of Hotel Management at Bariar village on the GT road near here on Monday night

Body of an unidentified man, aged around 40 years, was found lying in front of the Institute of Hotel Management at Bariar village on the GT road near here on Monday night.
According to the police, the deceased had injury marks below the right knee, on the mouth, back of the head and other parts of the body.They said that he seemed to be an accident victim.

The police said the deceased, a clean-shaven man, had wheatish colour and a stoutly built body. He was 5 feet 10 inches tall. He was wearing a white vest and a greenish coloured lungi. He was wearing a locket tied to a black thread around his neck bearing the words 'Bhagi Shah Da Darbar'.

The body would be kept in the mortuary of the civil hospital, Gurdaspur for the next 72 hours for identification, the police said and urged the people to call on mobile numbers 9781124001, 9780002627 and 9780002601 in case they have any information which could lead to identification of the deceased.
