In spite of the heavy snow in the upper areas of the constituency, Youth Congress activists remained full of enthusiasm on this appointment.

Leader Sawarn Singh, Manoj Thakur and former BDC chairman Chetan Sharma has expressed gratitude of state congress chief Sukhvinder Singh "Sukhu", chief minister Virbhadra Singh and chief parliamentary secretary Vinay Kumar for extending the responsibilities of the organisation to Thakur.
