Budding biotech scientist award for PAU student

Parampreet Kaur, a PhD scholar at School of Agricultural Biotechnology at Punjab Agricultural University ( PAU ) has been awarded “Budding Biotechnology Scientist Award-2014”.

Parampreet Kaur, a PhD scholar at School of Agricultural Biotechnology at Punjab Agricultural University ( PAU ) has been awarded “Budding Biotechnology Scientist Award-2014”.

The award was presented to her during a recently held international conference on “Genomics and Proteomics Research”in New Delhi.

Kuldip Singh, director, School of Agricultural Biotechnology, Punjab Agricultural University, said Kaur was awarded for her research in successful application of biotechnology principles and techniques.

“I am highly elated that I have been chosen for the award and have no words to thank my professors who guided and motivated me throughout my research,” said Parampreet Kaur.

The award carries of a plaque, cash prize and free registration to the next year event.

Gursharan Singh, dean, postgraduate studies of the university, has congratulated Kaur and hoped that in future, more number of postgraduate students would participate in such events for better scientific exposure and interaction.
