Saini was closely associated with Apna Ghar caretaker Jaswanti Devi and was working in Apna Ghar and Hooda is a former child development project officer of Rohtak.

Appearing for CBI, special prosecutor Sukhdip Singh Sandhu informed the court that one of the Apna Ghar inmates in her statement recorded before the magistrate during the investigation of the case had submitted that Saini used to rape the girls and he used to take the inmates to his house for using as bonded labourers for which he never made any payment to them. Hence, Saini cannot be granted the benefit of bail that he had demanded in his petition, argued Sandhu.

Saini had approached the high court on November 27. Whereas Hooda filed her petition seeking anticipatory bail on Thursday. Taking CBI's reply in Saini's case on record, the court directed the premier investigating agency to file its reply on Hooda's petition by December 10.
