The city recorded a maximum temperature of 21.7°C on Sunday and a minimum of 6.2°C. According to the meteorological centre, the mercury is likely to hover between 2 to 3°C in the next two days. Metrological centre director Surinder Paul said: “The temperature will drop by around 2°C. The city may witness a further dip in temperature on the New Year Eve,” he said.
