City schools celebrate Teej with fervour

Ram Lal Bhasin Public School, Dugri, celebrated Teej in the school campus. Students from nursery to Class 2 were seen in colorful traditional dresses.

Manpreet Singh of Class 2 and Helan from nursery were declared ‘best gabru’ and ‘best mutiyaar’ respectively. The swings in the school were decorated beautifully with scented flowers. Students sang songs while some of them even performed traditional dances. The kids were also introduced to “phulkari”.

Besides, a “mehendi” competition was held for senior students. Neetu from Class 11 bagged the first prize, Avneet from Class 9 bagged the second prize, Muskaan from Class 11 and Simran from Class 9 bagged the third prize in the contest. Kamalpreet from Class 3 got a consolation prize.

Principal Suman Arora was overwhelmed with the preparations and creativity of students.

ATAM DEVKI NIKETAN SCHOOL

The school organised a party to celebrate Teej. On this occasion, students were seen in colourful Punjabi attires.
