Sketching out the roadmap for the first time BJP government in Haryana, Governor, Kaptan Singh Solanki took a tactful dig at the previous Congress regime when on Monday he articulated the new government's resolve to put to an end nepotism, regional imbalance and bias in development and ensure equitable distribution of resources.

Solanki who addressed Haryana assembly on the opening day of the budget session said that people of the state have emphatically expressed their desire through the ballot to put an end to nepotism… regional imbalance.. and the government is committed to carry out this will of the people. "While creating job opportunities and promoting investment, the government will ensure equitable distribution of resources,'' he said.

The previous Congress government was often accused of regional imbalance and bias in terms of development and employment not only by the opposition parties but also by their own party leaders. The BJP government recently published a white paper on state of finances to bolster this argument.

The Governor who was addressing the House for a second time in last four months said that the new government was working to re-establish the credibility of institutions of democracy. "In all its actions my government is guided by the core principle of Ekatm Manav Darshan (integral humanism) of our great civilization,'' the Governor said. The integral humanism philosophy was propounded by Jan Sangh leader Deendayal Upadhyaya and is followed by the BJP.
