State executive member of the party Sardara Singh Mahal stated this while addressing mediapersons here on Wednesday.

The party has fielded Tarsem Peter from Jalandhar, Balwinder Singh Bhullar from Khadoor Sahib and Daljit Singh from Anandpur Sahib, he said.

"We will fight the elections on our own and on the basis of our party programmes. The Congress and Shiromani Akali Dal have done nothing for the betterment of the people of state in the past and they are two sides of the same coin. The Aam Aadmi Party has failed to come up to the expectations of Delhi people and being evasive they preferred to step down just to garner popularity for the forthcoming parliamentary elections," Mahal said.

"The parties involved in Third Front also have no plan so far. Rather, they appear as a bunch of prime ministerial candidates. So we have decided to go it alone," he said.

Tarsem Peter and Balwinder Singh Bhullar were among others present on the occasion.
