“It is clearly a case of one perpetrator patting another's back as the hands of both Modi and Gill are soaked in the blood of innocents,” said party spokesperson Kanwarpal Singh in a hard-hitting statement released here on Saturday.

“Gill, who himself is in the dock for carrying out extra-constitutional and illegal operations in the name of fighting militancy in Punjab, has no moral right to make such sweeping statements,” he said. “KPS Gill is not the “paramount police” as described by his biographer, instead, he is a “Frankenstein monster,” he alleged, adding that the former DGP was yet to be arraigned before law for his direct and indirect complicity in the pre-meditated murders of innocent Sikh youth in the eighties.
