Data entry operator of Income tax department has been booked for embezzlement. The accused has prepared forged documents of various tax payers and got refund of `72 lakh.
The accused has been identified as Manav Kumar of Kartar Nagar of Tibba road. The police station PAU has registered a case under sections 419, 420, 465, 467, 468 and 471 of IPC following the complaint of KS Bains, additional commissioner, income tax department, range-4.
In his complaint, Bains said that the accused has prepared forged documents and got refund of `72 lakh from October 2013 to February 2014. The accused has been absconding.
