"Who is Amarinder to issue a clean chit to Tytler. People must understand that Amarinder has rubbed salt on the wounds of riot victims. How can a person take u-turn after talking something on television?" said Jaitley while addressing a rally at Jasraon in Rajasansi assembly segment on Tuesday.

"Capt Amarinder Singh is a liar. He is in the habit of issuing baseless statements and then taking a u-turn", he added.

Jaitley had used this latest ammunition against his opponent during his road show in Chawinda Devi on Monday and continued to rake it up in public rallies on Tuesday.

In the Jasraon rally, organised by Akali leader Veer Singh Lopoke, Jaitley also described Amarinder as a "person who repeatedly lies about facts".

The rally was organised primarily to woo Rai Sikhs living in the area. In fact, the organisers had invited SAD candidate from Ferozepur Sher Singh Gubhaya, a prominent Rai Sikh leader, to address the rally but he failed to turn up.
