On the call of Bar Council of India, the district bar association observed a strike on Monday to protest the killing of an advocate of the Allahabad high court. The bar condemned the murder and demanded immediate arrest of the culprits. President RP Dhir said that the Uttar Pradesh government should adequately compensate deceased's family. The strike also paralysed judicial work in Dasuya, Mukerian and Garhshankar. Police inspector Shailendra Singh allegedly shot dead 30-year-old advocate Nabi Ahmed over a tiff at the Allahabad high court on March 12.
