DMCH organises workshop on research awareness

The educational unit of Dayanand Medical College and Hospital (DMCH) organised the Programme for Inculcating Culture of Scientific Enquiry and Pursuit (PICSEP) Workshop 2014 to promote the spirit of scientific awareness and research among the postgraduate residents, on Saturday.

The educational unit of Dayanand Medical College and Hospital (DMCH) organised the Programme for Inculcating Culture of Scientific Enquiry and Pursuit (PICSEP) Workshop 2014 to promote the spirit of scientific awareness and research among the postgraduate residents, on Saturday.

The workshop was organised under the affiliation of Ludhiana Obstetrics and Gynaecological Society (LOGS) and in collaboration with Federation of Obstetric and Gynaecological Society of India (FOGSI), Journal of Obstetric and Gynaecological Society of India.

Dr Suvarna Khadilkar, gynae endocrinologist from Mumbai was the national faculty and chief guest for the events. A daylong workshop, which aimed at teaching the resident doctors about basics of conducting research, and to inculcate an interest of doing research in future, was conducted.

LOGS president Dr Neelam Sodhi stated that documentation of all findings is an important aspect, which every doctor should follow. This would help in research activities and treating our patients, she added.
Various other doctors gave informative and enlightening lectures on various topics like on how to prepare a dissertation and how to write a paper. Doctors included DMCH principal Dr Daljit Singh talked on thesis format.
