A film- Mudke Da Moti (a pearl of sweat)- was based on the life and achievements of Mohinder Singh Grewal, a progressive farmer from Kanganwal in Ludhiana.

Another film- Jo Keha So Kar Dikhaya (I did what I say)- was based on the life of late Sardarni Jagbir Kaur, wife of Mohinder Singh Grewal. The films showcased how the couple made great strides in farming to win national and international recognitions. Practising intensive agriculture and crop diversification, Grewal successfully cultivated five crops a year at the farm. The duo also excelled in subsidiary occupation like bee keeping, poultry and piggery.

In his comments, Dhillon described Grewal a person with extraordinary capabilities. He excelled in every sphere of farming like vegetable cultivation, fruit cultivation, bee-keeping among others. As a diversified farmer, he has set an example for other farmers, said Dhillon.

Earlier, Chander Mohan, additional director of communication, while welcoming the guests gave a brief account of the achievements of Grewal.
