The youth, who were allegedly harassing students of government girls senior secondary school on the Mall Road here on Wednesday, had to face the wrath of the personnel of the Women Armed Special Protection Squad (WASPS).
Three youth were allegedly harassing the girls at the school’s gate at about 3 pm when women WASPS cops spotted them doing so and tried to arrest them on the spot.
But the youth fled the spot on a Bajaj Pulsar motorcycle and women cops chased them on their scooter. After a chase for some time, the cops succeeded in intercepting them by bringing their scooter in front of their motorcycle forcing the
youth to stop. The women cops then also thrashed the youth.
Station house officer (SHO), Kotwali police station, Manoj Kumar, said that the incident has come to his knowledge but no formal complaint has yet been received in this connection.

{{/usCountry}}“So far, we have the information that the youth had resorted to triple ride on the motorcycle and didn't stop even after asked to do so. The police will inquire into the matter and will take action accordingly,” he said.
