Faridkot constituency comprises of nine assembly segments spreading across four districts -- Faridkot, Moga, Muktsar and Bathinda. There is more rural population than the urban as only Moga, Faridkot and Kotkapura has large urban population while the rest of the constituencies are rural dominant.

At a glance

Having earlier represented Bathinda Lok Sabha seat, SAD MP Paramjit Kaur Gulshan is vying for her second victory from Faridkot (reserved) seat. Chief minister Parkash Singh Badal, deputy CM Sukhbir Badal and Congress’ Jagmeet Singh Brar represented this seat when it was not reserved. Predominantly rural, it’s spread across Moga, Muktsar, Bathinda and Faridkot districts. Mehraj, the ancestral village of Capt Amarinder Singh, is part of Faridkot parliamentary seat.
