Mayor Arun Sood said, “We will throw open the parking lot on April 1. We are putting finishing touches to the building.” The decision not to charge for the first four months was taken by previous mayor Poonam Sharma.

The facility will be equipped with solar lights. Even though, to address parking woes in the city, outgoing UT adviser Vijay Kumar Dev on July 9 this year had approved two multilevel parking lots in Sector 34.
