Former SAD leader arrested for cheating

Kashmir Singh, a resident of Mehatpur, in his complaint to Jalandhar (Rural) SSP said that the alleged accused duped him of Rs 4.5 lakh on the pretext of sending him to Germany.

The SSP ordered human trafficking cell to inquire into the matter, who recommended registration of the case.

SHO Manjit Singh said that a case under sections 406 (breach oftrust) and 420 (cheating) has been registered against Jasbir Singh, who was remanded to judicial custody by a local court.
